Can i still be forgiven?

Is it unforgivable? There are many who have a stronghold of sin, particularly addictive behavior, and they reach a point where they believe they cannot be forgiven in Christ. This is not true! All sin can be forgiven in Christ. What is unforgivable is saying “no” to the conviction to turn to Him, which comes from Holy Spirit.

For those who read this, hoping that there is still hope—there is! If you are still disturbed in your soul over your addictive behavior, it means Holy Spirit is still convicting you to turn. Your limited relief from this behavior keeps your soul like the walking dead. You haven’t turned yet because you still believe that there is some redeeming quality that is connected with your sin, and you remain some kind of zombie. You can’t just choose to be different—that hasn’t worked has it?

Respond completely to the conviction that Holy Spirit is giving you. Everything associated with your stronghold must die at the cross. Everything associated with your behavior must be left behind. Seek your relief in worship of the Lord, because what you are longing for is life, and life is only found on the other side of the cross. There is no substitute given, only Jesus.

Matthew 12:31-32--Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
