Merry Christmas! While it is a very special day, make sure it stays that way. Don’t get caught up in the things that take away from what is most important.
Jesus and His disciples were traveling through a village and stayed at Martha and Mary’s house. Martha got all caught up in making sure Jesus and His guys had a good experience in her house, but was missing out on being with Jesus. He didn’t care about all the fuss, He cared about them.
It’s easy at Christmastime to get caught up in all the traditional stuff, but don’t forget to give time to Jesus—after all, it’s His birthday! And don’t let the little things like “it has to be like it always has been, like it used to be when _____ was with us.”
No, it doesn’t. Celebrate what is important—the birth of Jesus, His promise to come back, and the time together. May the Grace be with you!

Then tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
