The only difference between you and a pile of dirt is one thing—the breath of God. He makes what He wills from the common. If He can do that with dirt, there is really no way of knowing what Jesus is capable of doing with you as a person!
Jesus promised the first men that He called to come after Him, and He would “make” them into fishers of men. Just as God formed man from a handful of dirt, Jesus forms His handful of disciples into world-changing movement-makers.
Jesus doesn’t want fans, or converts. He wants transformed men and women that He has manufactured. In Mark 1, a leper came to Jesus and asked to healed, but after the healing, Jesus sternly warned him not to tell anyone. Jesus didn’t need or want a bunch of “Jesus-groupies”, which is what happened after the leper disobeyed and told everyone about his healing.
Seek to discover (eureka!) what the Lord is revealing to you each day so that He can make you into one of His world-changing movement-makers. What will you move today in His name?
Mark 1:17—And Jesus said to them, “Come after Me and I will make [manufacture] you to become [to be generated into] fishers of men.”
